What Do C2ER Board Members Commit to?
While specific expectations may vary slightly year to year, C2ER Board members have the following responsibilities:
Membership
- All C2ER Board members must be current members of the organization
Time Commitment
- All terms are three‑year terms
- Must attend at least 3 of the Quarterly board meetings, two virtual, and two in‑person. one of which is held during the C2ER Annual Conference
- First time board members must participate in three committees
- Board members that have served two or more years must participate in at least two committees
- Occasional review of materials, proposals, or strategic documents between meetings
Engagement & Representation
- Actively representing C2ER’s mission and values within your organization and networks
- Supporting member engagement, recruitment, and outreach efforts
- Providing input on programs, training, and strategic initiatives
- Helping to raise funds to support C2ER
Governance & Oversight
- Reviewing and approving budgets, strategic plans, and organizational priorities
- Ensuring C2ER remains financially healthy and mission‑aligned
- Offering guidance to staff leadership on emerging trends and member needs
Conference & Event Participation
- Attending the Annual Conference
- Supporting sessions, networking events, or committee meetings as needed
