Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Labor Market Information Department in Columbia. Incumbent will serve as lead research analyst for assigned WIOA region in the Workforce Information Grant unit, perform specialized statistical analysis, market research and data management and presentation of figures and concepts, both in-person and through a variety of electronic media, to external stakeholders under limited supervision. Contribute to the review and editing of analyses, reports, and presentations. This work will enhance the facilitation of the Workforce Information Grant as specified by the U.S. Department of Labor and to meet the needs of the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce.  **4 vacancies**

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with coursework in economics and statistics and/or substantial experience in the development and presentation of quantitative analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the areas of communications, public relations, and/or customer service.
Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Stata), geographic information systems software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), and/or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience with data produced by the Labor Market Information Division and/or related federal and state data sources (e.g., U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census Bureau).
