The Economic Alliance is looking for a Research and Analytics Specialist and if that piques your interest, you probably want more detail on what that means. Here’s the essential duties and responsibilities:
- Collects, analyzes and presents community and regional data to show business and economic trends
- Collects, analyzes and presents internal data to support organizational and operational goals and strategies, strategic planning exercises and member performance reports
- Tracks digital marketing data, uncovering trends within the data and presenting actionable steps to improve performance
- Supports development of dashboards and other data visualizations to report metrics
- Creates and maintains databases containing information related to community demographics, economic indicators, community development, and other related areas
- Reviews and analyzes information from Chmura, LOIS, COLI and other databases in work activities
- Prepares financial assistance applications on behalf of and in conjunction with members and/or development prospects; for successful applicants, provides support through administration of financial assistance contract
- Finds and provides information needed to support business attraction and retention efforts of the Economic Alliance and ICR Iowa
- Researches and applies new or best practice methods to emerging trends and technologies and communicates this knowledge clearly and concisely
- Supports research and data requests from internal customers and certain Economic Alliance members
- Designs and executes surveys; analyzes and compiles collected data to assess customer opinions and preferences
- Develops individual grant proposals in accordance with each grant-making organization’s preferences and guidelines
