The Demographic Research Analyst will play a leading role in the technical development, design, and execution of applied research projects related to demographic, housing, and workforce analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to work with and across datasets including individual-level primary data, aggregated secondary data, and publicly-available demographic and economic microdata. The Demographic Research Analyst will play an important role in the development and maintenance of population and enrollment projection projects, including existing projects such as county-state population-projections in Georgia, serving as the technical lead on existing postsecondary enrollment projection projects, and help design a K-12 Enrollment Projections Program. Generally, the Demographic Research Analyst will be expected to find patterns, trends, and relationships through rigorous analysis that align with client and stakeholders needs. The candidate will communicate this work in multiple ways (e.g., written report, executive summaries, dynamic visualizations and dashboards, presentation slides) for technical and non-technical audiences. This position will participate in multiple individual and collaborative settings that expand past and current lines of applied research projects based on candidate’s educational and employment expertise.
