Where the Jobs (and Workers) Are: Measuring Labor Demand and Labor Supply
Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 2:00:00 PM to  3:00:00 PM Eastern

What jobs are available in your area? Who is in your labor pool? Some of the most important questions asked by workforce and economic developers require you to quantify the labor supplied by jobseekers and demanded by employers in your region. This presentation will introduce North Carolina’s new Labor Supply/Demand Analyzer website, showing how labor supply and demand data can be used to inform career planning, site selection, and workforce/education program offerings. We will also provide an overview of some of the key measurement issues in quantifying labor supply and demand and identifying “in-demand” jobs.
