PatentsView is a US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)-supported initiative to increase the value, utility, and transparency of US patent data. The initiative is part of the USPTO open data roadmap and is intended to encourage the study and understanding of the intellectual property (IP) and innovation system. The PatentsView platform eventually will include a data visualization tool, a query tool, and web developer access to an API for patent grant and application data from 1976-2014.

Redefining Nebraska’s Economic Regions

The U.S. Census Bureau and the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership in collaboration with the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) welcomes Ms. Meyer. Ms. Meyer shares the process of developing new Economic Development Regions in Nebraska after the state gained a third Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) through maps created with OnTheMap to aid in the task of reexamining the existing regions.

About the Presenter:
Jodie Meyer has worked as a Research Analyst at the Nebraska Department of Labor for eight years in the Labor Market Information division. She works primarily on the occupational and industry employment projections and the state LED Analyst.
