In this webinar Luke Dietterle, Extension Specialist at the University of Missouri, will present on the results of his Certified Economic Research Professional (CERP) project, which examines the significant economic toll that inadequate childcare access imposes on Missouri’s economy. Each year, the estimated annual cost to businesses and governments in the state in lost productivity, employee turnover, and lost wages/tax revenues is estimated to exceed $1.14 billion. Webinar attendees will gain insights into how a lack of access to childcare can affect individuals and businesses, the methodologies used to estimate the economic impacts of inadequate childcare access, and how these findings can be communicated to policymakers and the public.
