In this webinar Dr. Fady Mansour, Associate Professor and Director of the Butler Center for Research and Economic Development at Columbus State University (CSU), will present on the results of his Certified Economic Research Professional (CERP) project. This project evaluated the economic and community impact of the Coca-Cola Space Science Center (CCSSC) a unique aerospace museum and education enrichment center in Columbus, GA that provides programming for K-12 students as well as research support for CSU students and faculty. While the CCSSC generates a measurable regional economic footprint, Dr. Mansour found that fiscal measures alone undervalue an institution whose real impact unfolds through education and workforce development. A mixed-methods evaluation approach using economic modeling, student and teacher survey data, and qualitative testimony from educators, community leaders, and program participants reframes the CCSSC as a strategic asset tied to the nation’s technology workforce pipeline.

Webinar attendees will come away with practical strategies for triangulating economic, survey, and qualitative methods, and for communicating multidimensional research findings to help stakeholders and decision-makers accurately assess the long-term value of educational and workforce-development institutions.
