Rebecca M. Hunt is the Economic and Workforce Development Unit Manager at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Her role includes program and supervisory responsibility for the Workforce Development body of work as well as the Institute’s rural PROPEL program. Rebecca specializes in project management and labor market data analysis. She assists organizations from small communities to large state agencies with their workforce and economic development needs through technical assistance, applied research, and meeting facilitation. She joined the Institute as a graduate research assistant in 2017 and has held several roles in her tenure at the Institute of Government. Prior to joining the Institute, she served as an AmeriCorps member at the city of Knoxville, TN.
Rebecca holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Georgia as well as a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs and a minor in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College.
