The submission deadline has been extended until October 31, 2024! Submit your session proposal for the 65th C2ER + LMI Institute Conference, taking place in Sacramento, California, from May 28 – 30, 2025. Your ideas will help set the tone and direction for this prestigious event and lead a meaningful dialogue with your peers.

We are seeking proposals on a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • Sharing updates on datasets, research tools, and data sources that can enhance research capabilities.

Basic Labor Market Information (LMI) Analyst Training

This course provides novice labor market information (LMI) analysts with an introduction to LMI and basic analytical methods that support state and regional workforce development strategies. Through engaging discussions and hands-on exercises, participants will gain exposure to various workforce, demographic, and economic data sources. They will also apply basic analytical skills to answer real-world questions that policymakers and practitioners encounter. Topics covered in this course include:
  • Understanding core LMI programs and other data sources
  • Conducting basic occupational analyses
  • Using Local Employment Dynamics
  • Exploring real-time LMI applications
  • Communicating effectively with customers

While there is no prerequisite for this course, some experience with Excel formulas and functions is strongly recommended.

Attendees will receive access to the LMI Institute’s eLearning course – Introduction to LMI with the live instruction time support the eLearning content.
