Hello to the C2ER Network:
We are 46 days away from the 62nd Annual C2ER Conference! I feel privileged to be able to welcome you all back for our first in-person event since March 2020. We’ve all been impacted by the pandemic. There is nothing like being able to network, make new professional friends, and learn what cool projects are going on face to face.
I’m eager to meet you all in Columbus, Ohio where we will learn from the conference theme, The Road Ahead: Using Data to Pave the Way, and how our form of data analytics as applied researchers will transform and be transformed by the future.

Part of looking forward will come from our Economic Outlook Keynote delivered by Chief U.S. Economist for Bloomberg Economics, Anna Wong. Dr. Ross Devol, CEO of Heartland Forward, will deliver our Future of Work Keynote sharing ideas of what we can expect to see as our professional worlds begin to transform; what new data points will we need to be on the lookout for as local businesses and talent evolve?
The off-site learning labs on Thursday morning will offer a unique conference opportunity (no extra fee required!) to get out into Columbus and see economic development projects at work and the impacts our work behind the desk has on the communities at large.
Please don’t hesitate to stop me around the conference halls, schedule a time for coffee, or let me know how the C2ER board or staff can be a resource for your work. We look forward to bumping elbows and shaking hands and can’t wait to see you in Columbus!

At the upcoming Annual Conference in June 13 – 16, 2022, C2ER will be electing a new slate of board members.
C2ER Nominating Committee is seeking experienced and dedicated members to serve as leaders in guiding the future of C2ER. The role of board members is to provide organizational governance, take an active role in board activities and help chair at least one committee.
