BR|E Benchmarking Challenge 2022

March 1 – May 15, 2022

Benchmarks are vital to our understanding of local issues. They provide context. CREC in association with C2ER, Business Retention and Expansion International (BREI), and the Synchronist User Community are continuing the national benchmarking project; with YOUR help. Our goal is to interview 2,000 primary (or ‘traded’) sector business executives to gauge the health of our most important community assets, primary sector businesses and the challenges they face.

We also seek to set national and, hopefully, regional benchmarks for critical issues we discuss in business retention. Issues like workforce, employment recovery, business growth, plans to expand, growth barriers, and community issues.

C2ER Webinar Presentation:

The C.U.R.E. to Inclusion, Starts with U

March 24, 2022

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET

Ruth Rathblott will share her CURE model for expanding diversity by focusing on inclusion and belonging; she will also share her own story of being born with a limb difference, hiding it for 25 years, and her path to unhiding.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore their own differences through personal reflection and engagement activities.

The C.U.R.E. model engages attendees on 4 dimensions:

  • Connection through courage and commitment
  • Understanding by uncovering those parts of ourselves that are different and creating safe places for conversation about difference
  • Representation by making sure all voices are recognized and have a seat at the table
  • Empathy to create a healthy workplace
