C2ER staffer Wen Sun attended the SelectUSA Summer Forum  held in Washington, DC on June 17th, where Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker unveiled the newly designed Access Costs Everywhere (ACE) framework, one of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC)’s tools to assist manufacturers and other businesses investing in the United States. Secretary Pritzker also discussed the Department’s investments in a wide array of other initiatives, including the newly launched U.S. Cluster Mapping tool.

Last week, C2ER and the Harvard Business School delivered a training class in Boston, MA about the new U.S. Cluster Mapping tool, funded by the EDA. The training was attended by economic development researchers and practitioners, representing public, private, and non-profit organizations across 19 states. The LMI Institute and the Harvard Business School will be conducting another U.S. Cluster Mapping training class to an even broader audience in Sacramento, CA on July 29th and 30th.

Looking forward, C2ER will continue to provide support for various DOC tools. Click here for more information about C2ER’s ongoing efforts and products for supporting economic development activities at regional, state, and national levels.
